Are you interested in helping others? Would you like to meet new people? Would you like to make an impact at home, as well as around the world? Lions in Lisle and around the world do this!
Our next meeting is on June 1st. at 7:30 PM at The Meadows Center, 5801 Westview, Lisle. You are welcome to attend.
On Sunday, June 7, 2009, Lisle Lions Club, as well as many other Lions Clubs in District 1-J, will be participating in the annual 2009 Walk for Sight at Danada Equestrian Center. Registration and path assignment begins at 3:30 PM and the actual walk commences at 4:30 PM. Registration is $20 per adult walker. Entry fee is free for high school or younger students. Adults who turn in $100 or more in donations will receive a free T-shirt. and younger walkers are encouraged to collect at least $50 in donations.
If your company or organization walks with us, a portion of the donation money you collect will be returned to your organization -- the remainder will go to the Lions of Illinois Foundation to help the visually & hearing-impaired throughout Illinois.
Students may earn Community Service points, and at the same time, raise money for their organization.
